RESOLUTION AMENDING R-25-1013, DATED OCTOBER 28, 2025, FOR 22ND CENTURY TECHNOLOGIES, INC. TO EXTEND THE UTILIZATION OF TEMPORARY STAFFING SERVICES FROM JULY 1, 2026, THROUGH AUGUST 14, 2026 AND TO DECREASE THE ORIGINAL ALLOCATION AMOUNT.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County, through its Department of Senior Services (hereafter “Department”), provides assistance with senior benefit programs, including home and community services to senior citizens throughout Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic, by way of Resolution of R-25-1013, dated October 28, 2025, authorized the purchase of temporary staffing services from 22nd Century Technologies, Inc., for the Department of Senior Services, to provide the necessary short-term personnel resources to accomplish grant objectives efficiently and ensure timely expenditure of available SNAP grant funds, in the amount of $281,031.00 for the period of November 14, 2025 through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Senior Services is requesting a Resolution amending Resolution R-25-1013, dated October 28, 2025, to extend the utilization of temporary staffing services from July 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026, and to decrease the original allocation from $281,031.00 to $160,000.00 for a decrease amount of $121,031.00; and
WHEREAS, the extension does not increase the revised contract amount but merely extends the period during which the remaining funds may be utilized; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 1, 2026, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NEW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic, hereby amends Resolution R-25-1013, dated October 28, 2025, for 22nd Century Technologies, Inc. to extend the utilization of temporary staffing services from July 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026, and to decrease the original allocation from $281,031.00 to $160,000.00 for a decrease amount of $121,031.00; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board, Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Department of Senior Services are hereby authorized to execute any documents to carry out the terms of this resolution.
