RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SERVICES BY THE PASSAIC COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (the “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office of Emergency Management (“OEM”) has requested the purchase of services from qualified vendors for use in furtherance of its law enforcement and/or administrative objectives and/or those of various law enforcement agencies within the County; and
WHEREAS, said goods or services are being procured through Cooperative Purchasing Agreements in which the County of Passaic is a member, as permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10 and as specified below; and
WHEREAS, the Board is desirous of approving said purchases in accordance with the terms of the applicable contracts and authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue the appropriate Purchase Orders; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the account numbers set forth below or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in 2025, or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the Law and Public Safety Committee, on April 14, 2025, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10 et seq., that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes the purchase of the following goods or services in accordance with the terms of the applicable state or cooperative agreement:

LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent, Clerk to the Board, and Director of the Board be and hereby are authorized and directed to take such further actions and sign such documents as are necessary to effectuate the purpose of this resolution, including but not limited to issuance of appropriate Purchase Orders.
