RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE HARRY VREELAND HOUSE REHABILITATION & SITE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE BOROUGH OF WANAQUE, PURSUANT N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to undertake a project to restore the Harry Vreeland House, an early 20th house located within Highlands Meadow Park in the Borough of Ringwood; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for the Harry Vreeland House Rehabilitation & Site Improvements Project in the Borough of Ringwood; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County will publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at January 10, 2024, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids as recommended by the Director of the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs for the advertisement for the Harry Vreeland House Rehabilitation & Site Improvements Project in the Borough of Ringwood.
