RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, AND RELATED SERVICES FROM F&G MECHANICAL CORP. FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR SERVICES/NUTRITION DIVISION IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE EXISTING GREASE TRAP AT THE TOTOWA NUTRITION SITE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, ET.SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and

 

WHEREAS, the County, through its Department of Senior Services (hereafter “Department”), provides assistance with senior benefit programs, including home and community services to senior citizens throughout Passaic County; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, et.seq., the County may, without advertising for bids or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract(s) for such goods or services entered into by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property; and

 

WHEREAS, the existing grease trap located at the Totowa Nutrition Site has deteriorated and requires replacement to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of the facility and the replacement of the grease trap is necessary to maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Senior Services/Nutrition Division is requesting a Resolution authorizing purchase of all labor, material, equipment, and related services from F&G Mechanical Corp. in the amount of $30,500.00; and

 

                     WHEREAS, F&G Mechanical Corp. submitted Proposal #126129, attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, under Bergen County Co-Op Contract No. CK04/BC-BID-24-55; and

 

WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. T-20-56-870-007-801 in the amount of $30,500.00 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s); and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-60-1, et seq., vendor executed the Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia or Belarus Certification, attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, certifying the vendor is not involved in prohibited activities in Russia and Belarus, and the County confirmed vendor is not identified on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list created by the Office of Foreign Assets Control; and

 

WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 1, 2026, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.SA. 40A:11-12, et.seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the purchase of all labor, material and equipment, and related services necessary to replace the existing grease trap at the Totowa Nutrition Site in the amount of $30,500.00 from F&G Mechanical Corp. for the Passaic County Senior Services Department, Nutrition Division under Bergen County Co-Op Contract No. CK04/BC-BID-24-55; and

 

LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Board, and Director of Senior Services are hereby authorized to take the necessary steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
