RESOLUTION APPOINTING ONE (1) LEGISLATIVE DELEGATE AND TWO (2) ALTERNATE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATES TO THE NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2025, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the New Jersey Association of Counties, a non-partisan organization that represents the interests of county governments in New Jersey and advocates for legislation, regulations, and policy directives benefitting same; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Board to appoint one (1) Legislative Delegate and two (2) Alternate Legislative Delegates to represent the County’s interests and legislative goals before the New Jersey Association of Counties in calendar year 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the following appointments to the New Jersey Association of Counties for calendar year 2025:
1. County Administrator Matthew P. Jordan, Esq. as the Legislative Delegate.
2. County Commissioner Orlando Cruz as an Alternate Legislative Delegate.
3. County Commissioner John W. Bartlett, Esq. as an Alternate Legislative Delegate.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Legislative Delegate and Alternate Legislative Delegates appointed herein are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution, including representing the County of Passaic’s interests and legislative goals before the New Jersey Association of Counties for calendar year 2025.
