RESOLUTION APPOINTING DIRECTOR CASSANDRA LAZZARA TO THE PASSAIC COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR THE REMAINDER OF CALENDAR YEAR 2026, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 44:1-11.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-10, et seq., the Board established the Passaic County Board of Social Services to provide and administer various social service programs for eligible residents in the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-11, the Passaic County Board of Social Services shall be composed of not less than five nor more than seven citizens of the County or municipalities participating, at least two of whom shall be women, to be appointed by the Board, with two designated members of the Board, and the County Adjuster.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-11, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic appoints the Director of the Board, Cassandra Lazzara, to serve as one of the designated members of the Board of County Commissioners on the Passaic County Board of Social Services for the remainder of the 2026 calendar year
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board shall send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Executive Director of the Passaic County Board of Social Services.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that Director Lazzara is authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution as a member of the Passaic County Board of Social Services for the rest of calendar year 2026.
