RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE PREAKNESS HEALTHCARE CENTER’S NEW DISHWASHER PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Preakness Healthcare Center desires to replace the existing dishwasher with a new dishwasher for the Preakness Healthcare Center; and
WHEREAS, the specifications for the replacement of the dishwasher at Preakness Healthcare Center have been prepared and conform with County and industry engineering standards, and the Passaic County Engineer is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids to replace the existing dishwasher with a new dishwasher for the Preakness Healthcare Center; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County shall publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the March 13, 2024, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for the Preakness Healthcare Center’s new dishwasher.
LET IT FURTHER BE RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent shall publish the advertisement for the bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving bids to promote competitive bidding, in compliance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23 et seq.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Engineer, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
