RESOLUTION DESIGNATING JOSEPH WENZEL, ESQ. AS COUNTY ADJUSTER, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 30:4-34

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 30:4-34, the County is required to have a County Adjustor who shall represent the County at civil commitment hearings and perform such other functions as required by law; and

 

WHEREAS, the Administration and Finance Committee is recommending that Joseph Wenzel, Esq., who is qualified to fill such position, be appointed as County Adjuster; and

 

WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the August 26, 2026, Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 30:4-34 and Section 5.10 of the Passaic County Administrative Code, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic appoints Joseph Wenzel, Esq. as County Adjuster.

 

LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
