RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER TO REQUEST APPROVAL OF ITEMS OF REVENUE AND APPROPRIATION PURSUANT TO NJSA 40A:4-87 (Chapter 159 P.L. 158)

WHEREAS the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:4-87, the Director of the Division of Local Government Services may approve the insertion of any special item of revenue in the budget of any local unit when such item shall have been made available by any public or private funding source and the amount thereof shall not have been determined at the time of the adoption of the budget, and may approve the insertion of an appropriation item of an amount equal to any such special item of revenue making such item of revenue available for expenditure; and
WHEREAS the County desires to anticipate and appropriate a sum of $10,300.00 for the program as noted below; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby requests that the Director of the Division of Local Government Services approves the insertion of an additional item of revenue in the budget of the County of Passaic for calendar year 2025 in the sum of $10,300.00, which is now available as revenue from a grant award from the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council, Passaic County Arts Center - Arts Programming, in accordance with the law.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that a like sum of $10,300.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated under the caption which item is now available as revenue from a grant award from the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council, Passaic County Arts Center - Arts Programming.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that an electronic copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Division of Local Government Services.
