RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER R-24-265 “AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE CHILD ADVOCACY DEVELOPMENT GRANTS,” TO INCREASE THE CHILD ADVOCACY DEVELOPMENT GRANT APPROPRIATION BY $47,524.00

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on March 26, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic adopted R-24-265 authorizing the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office (the “PCPO”) to apply for and accept funds in the amount of one hundred eighty-three thousand seven hundred and twenty-one dollars ($183,721.00) from the Child Advocacy Development Grants, which is administered by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, in a letter dated, December 17, 2024, the Department of Children and Families (“DCF”) advised the County that it was approved for additional funding from the state to support its initiatives in the amount of forty-seven thousand, five hundred twenty-four dollars ($47,524.00); and
WHEREAS, the PCPO recommends amending Resolution Number R-24-265 to accept the additional funding approved by the state, and to revise the original grant appropriation of hundred eighty-three thousand seven hundred twenty-one dollars ($183,721.00) to reflect the new grant appropriation of two hundred thirty-one thousand, two hundred forty-five dollars ($231,245.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes an amendment to Resolution Number R-24-265 to accept the additional funding approved by the state of forty-seven thousand, five hundred twenty-four dollars ($47,524.00), and to reflect the new grant appropriation of two hundred thirty-one thousand, two hundred forty-five dollars ($231,245.00).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that all the other terms and conditions as set forth in Resolution Number R- 24-265 remain in full force and effect.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Board of County Commissioners, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any other action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
