RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING ROSE KLINKOWIZE OF CLIFTON, NEW JERSEY TO THE PASSAIC COUNTY SENIOR ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR A THREE (3) YEAR TERM, BEGINNING ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2026, AND EXPIRING ON AUGUST 31, 2029, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County used to have an Office on Aging to assist senior citizens in the County, which is now encompassed by the Passaic County Department of Senior Services (“Department”); and
WHEREAS, the Board created the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council to advise on ways to improve the quality of life for seniors in the County, appropriate aging related grants, and is responsible for making appointments to same; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 2023, the Board passed Resolution No. R-23-0968, reappointing Rose Klinkowize to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, beginning on September 1, 2023, and expiring August 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department is recommending the reappointment of Rose Klinkowize of Clifton to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, beginning on September 1, 2026, and expiring on August 31, 2029; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 29, 2026, Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby reappoints Rose Klinkowize of Clifton to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, beginning on September 1, 2026, and expiring on August 31, 2029.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, Director of the Department of Senior Services, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
