RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF GRANT AWARD FUNDS FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FY 2025

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (hereafter “HUD”) awarded the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) a Community Development Block Grant (hereafter “CDBG”) and the grant award was duly accepted by the County; and
WHEREAS, the County is cognizant of the conditions imposed by HUD and has made the following grant allocations, consistent with the approved One Year Annual Plan for FY 2025 duly adopted by the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners (hereafter “Board”):

WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the April 16, 2026 meeting of the Planning and Economic Development Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account Nos.: G-01-41-838-025-PE-1 and G-01-41-838-025-233 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this resolution; and
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Passaic County that the above allocations of funds are hereby authorized and approved for the Community Development Block Grant FY-2025; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Passaic County Commissioner Director, Clerk to the Board, and the Director of Economic Development are hereby authorized to execute all documents and certifications on behalf of the County of Passaic.
