RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING A VENDOR NAME CHANGE FROM THE LAW OFFICE OF LOUS J. LAMATINA TO LAW OFFICE OF LOUIS J. LAMATINA L.L.C. FOR CONTRACT AWARDED UNDER RFQ-26-041, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on September 11, 2025, the Purchasing Agent issued RFQ-26-041, Outside Counsel Patient Advocate for the Office of the Passaic County Adjuster Calendar Year 2026 (“RFQ-26-041”), seeking qualifications for a pool of qualified law firms to serve as outside counsel patient advocates for calendar year 2026 on an as-needed basis, responses to which were unsealed on September 23, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2025, the Board passed Resolution No. R-25-998, qualifying and awarding contracts under RFQ-26-041 to multiple law firms, including the Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina; and
WHEREAS, the County has been advised that the Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina has restructured and is now known as Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina L.L.C.; and
WHEREAS, for procurement and purchasing purposes, the County wishes to acknowledge this name change and affirm that the contract originally awarded to the Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina under RFQ-26-041 shall henceforth be performed by Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina L.L.C.; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the September 9, 2026, Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1, et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic recognizes that the Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina has restructured and is now known as Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina L.L.C., and affirms that the contract originally awarded to the Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina under RFQ-26-041 shall henceforth be performed by Law Office of Louis J. Lamatina L.L.C.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
