RESOLUTION AMENDING R-25-890, DATED DECEMBER 30, 2025 (NEW JERSEY SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM) GRANT AWARD NO: DOAS25SNAP11 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, DIVISION OF AGING SERVICES, TO EXTEND THE GRANT PERIOD FROM JUNE 30, 2026, THROUGH AUGUST 14, 2026.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County, through its Department of Senior Services (hereafter “Department”), provides assistance with senior benefit programs, including home and community services to senior citizens throughout Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, noticed the County of the reallocation of AAA NJSNAP (New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) 2025 Grant funds for the service period of January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, pursuant to Resolution R-25-890, dated September 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Senior Services is requesting a Resolution amending Resolution R-25-890, dated September 30, 2025 (New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Grant No. DOAS25SNAP11, to extend the grant period from June 30, 2026, through August 14, 2026; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 1, 2026, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NEW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”), hereby amends Resolution R-25-890, dated September 30, 2025, NJSNAP (New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) 2025 Grant No. DOAS25SNAP11, to extend the grant period from June 30, 2026, through August 24, 2026; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board, Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Department of Senior Services are hereby authorized to execute any documents to carry out the terms of this resolution.
