RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUIRED CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025 AUDIT REPORT

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Local Government Services requires the Chief Financial Officer to file a Corrective Action Plan outlining the actions to be taken by the County relative to the findings and recommendations in the annual audit report; and
WHEREAS, the Corrective Action Plan shall be prepared by the Chief Financial Officer with assistance from other officials affected by the audit findings and recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the governing body is required by resolution, to approve said Corrective Action Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Corrective Action Plan, as prepared by the Chief Financial Officer and approved by the governing body, shall be placed on file and made available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk to the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has prepared a Corrective Action Plan, which is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the September 30, 2026 meeting of the Administration and Finance Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby approves the attached Corrective Action Plan for the Fiscal Year 2025 Audit Report, as submitted by the Chief Financial Officer.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
