RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO GLOBAL INDUSTRIES, INC. C/O BUSINESS ENVIRONMENTS, FOR OFFICE FURNITURE AT THE NEW HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFICE AT 11 EDGAR DRIVE IN THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST MILFORD, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-12.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:11-12, et seq., the County may, without advertising for bids, or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract or contracts for such goods or services entered into on behalf of the State of New Jersey by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, Global Industries, Inc. c/o Business Environments, submitted competitive pricing for G2004 Furniture: Office, Dormitory, Residential, Library, Classroom, Lounge and System - Statewide, Master Blanket Purchase Order 25-COMG-94151, to the State of New Jersey, Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer is recommending an award of contract to Global Industries, Inc. c/o Business Environments, of Marlton, New Jersey, for the purchase of office furniture for the new Health Department office at 11 Edgar Drive in the Township of West Milford, in an amount not to exceed four thousand nine hundred ninety one dollars and thirty one cents ($4,991.31); and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 6-01-27-180-001-PE1, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the March 11, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Passaic County Board of Commissioners for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby awards a contract to Global Industries, Inc. c/o Business Environments, for the purchase of office furniture for the new Health Department office at 11 Edgar Drive in the Township of West Milford, in an amount not to exceed four thousand nine hundred ninety one dollars and thirty one cents ($4,991.31) as recommended by the County Engineer.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
