RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF INTERFACE STUDIO SET LVT FLOORING FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR SERVICES, DIVISION OF NUTRITION SERVICES LOCATED AT 930 RIVERVIEW DRIVE, TOTOWA, NEW JERSEY, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:11-12, et seq., the County may, without advertising for bids, or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract(s) for such goods or services entered into by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property; and
WHEREAS, RFS Commercial, Inc. submitted competitive pricing for G2005 - Carpet and Floor Coverings, Supplies and Installation - Statewide, Master Blanket Purchase Order 23-FOOD-47763, to the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Senior Services received a quote from RFS Commercial, Inc., attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, for the purchase and installation of Interface Studio Set LVT flooring for the Department of Senior Services, Division of Nutrition located at 930 Riverview Drive, Totowa, New Jersey, in an amount not to exceed fifty-seven thousand six hundred seventy-seven dollars and sixty-six cents ($57,677.66), which is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. T-20-56-870-007-801, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent County budget(s), which is attached hereto and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 6, 2024, Health & Human Services Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the purchase and installation of Interface Studio Set LVT flooring from RFS Commercial, Inc. for the Department of Senior Services, Division of Nutrition located at 930 Riverview Drive, Totowa, New Jersey, in an amount not to exceed fifty-seven thousand six hundred seventy-seven dollars and sixty-six cents ($57,677.66).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Director of Senior Services and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
