RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING NANCY MERAMO OF WEST MILFORD TO THE PASSAIC COUNTY ADVISORY COUNCIL ON DISABILITY FOR A THREE (3) YEAR TERM, COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2024 AND EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2026, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1997, the Board created the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability; and
WHEREAS, on December 8, 2020, the Board passed Resolution No. R20201062, reappointing Nancy Meramo of West Milford to the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability for a three (3) year term, commencing January 1, 2021 and expiring December 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Senior Services, Disability & Veteran Affairs is recommending to reappoint Ms. Meramo to the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability for a three (3) year term, beginning January 1, 2024 and terminating December 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the January 10, 2024 Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby reappoints Nancy Meramo of West Milford to the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability for a three (3) year term, commencing January 1, 2024 and expiring December 31, 2026.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, Director of Senior Services, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
