RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO PARAMUS FORD, INC., D/B/A ALL AMERICAN FORD OF PARAMUS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE 2026 FORD EXPLORER FOR THE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Passaic Board of County Commissioners (the “Board”) is vested with the powers to make all decisions on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Contract Purchasing System #11BECCP, a joint cooperative pricing system, offering competitive pricing for various goods and services established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the Bergen County Cooperative Contract Purchasing System issued and awarded a contract to Paramus Ford, Inc. d/b/a All American Ford of Paramus for Cars, Crossovers, Class 1-3 PickupTrucks/Chassis, Sport Utility Vehicles and Vans, under contract BC-BID-24-43 for a bid term beginning on June 19, 2024, and expiring on June 18, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is recommending that the Board authorize an award of contract to Paramus Ford, Inc., d/b/a All American Ford of Paramus to purchase one 2026 Ford Explorer for the County Health Department in the total amount of forty-two thousand five hundred seventy two dollars and seventy cents ($42,572.70), in accordance with the proposal, attached hereto and included herewith; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 6-01-44-900-003-000, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the April 15, 2026, Public Works Committee meeting and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the award of contract to Paramus Ford, Inc., d/b/a All American Ford of Paramus to purchase one 2026 Ford Explorer for the County Health Department in the total amount of forty-two thousand five hundred seventy two dollars and seventy cents ($42,572.70).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to execute the contracts and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
