RESOLUTION APPOINTING ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE PASSAIC COUNTY DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on December 29, 2025, the Board approved Resolution No. R-25-1293, authorizing the creation of the Passaic County Development Review Committee (“Committee”); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. R-25-1293, there shall be five (5) members of the Committee: the County Engineer, the County Planning Director, a member of the Board (appointed by the Board), and two members of the County Planning Board (appointed by the Board); as well as five (5) alternate members: the Assistant County Engineer, the County Supervising Planner, a member of the Board (appointed by the Board), and two members of the County Planning Board (appointed by the Board); and
WHEREAS, the County Administrator is recommending the appointment of Miguel Diaz and Kenneth Simpson to the Committee as alternate members; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 11, 2026 Administration & Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic appoints Miguel Diaz and Kenneth Simpson to the Passaic County Development Review Committee as alternate members.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
