RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH THE CITY OF PASSAIC ORDINANCE NO. 2503-25 DATED NOVEMBER 7, 2025, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and

 

WHEREAS, the County is responsible for the maintenance of Lexington Avenue in the City of Passaic; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Passaic has adopted Ordinance No. 2503-25 dated November 7, 2025, attached hereto and made part hereof, permitting two additional New Jersey Transit Bus Stops on Lexington Avenue at the curblines of Summer Street and President Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the County Engineer is recommending that the Board concur with the decision of the City of Passaic to adopt Ordinance No. 2503-25 dated November 7, 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 26, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby concurs with Ordinance No. 2503-25 dated November 7, 2025 adopted by the City of Passaic; and

 

LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
