RESOLUTION AMENDING R-26-0530 DATED JUNE 9, 2026 AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO DMR SERVICES, LLC, TO REPAIR VARIOUS WELLS IN THE PASSAIC COUNTY PARKS SYSTEM, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Passaic Board of County Commissioners (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of Resolution R20200852, the County entered into the North Jersey Wastewater Cooperative Pricing System, which awarded a contract for Various Manufacturer Pumps and Motors Repair and Replacement and Installation, Contract #454-2 to DMR Services, LLC, for a one year period; and
WHEREAS, on June 9, 2026, the Board passed Resolution No. R-26-0530, authorizing an award of contract to DMR Services, LLC, to repair the well that supplies water to the pool at Camp Hope in the Township of West Milford, in an amount not to exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) for a period commencing June 10, 2026 and expiring July 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Parks & Recreation is recommending that the above-referenced Resolution be amended to increase the scope of work on the contract with DMR Services, LLC, to include the repair of various wells in the Passaic County Parks System, including a well at Camp Hope in the Township of West Milford, in an amount not to exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) for a period commencing June 10, 2026 and expiring July 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No.6-01-28-198-001-207, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed on July 1, 2026 by the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the amendment of Resolution No. R-26-0530 dated June 9, 2026, revising the scope of work on the award of contract to DMR Services, LLC, to include the repair various wells in the Passaic County Parks System, including a well at Camp Hope in the Township of West Milford, in an amount not to exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) for a period commencing June 10, 2026 and expiring July 31, 2026, as recommended by the Director of the Department of Parks & Recreation.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to execute the contracts and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
