RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR A CERTIFIED GOLF TEACHING PROFESSIONAL FOR THE PREAKNESS VALLEY GOLF COURSE IN THE TOWNSHIP OF WAYNE, PURSUANT N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to hire a PGA-certified golf professional/instructor to provide training and instruction to patrons at Preakness Valley Golf Course in the Township of Wayne; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Parks & Recreation is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for a certified golf teaching professional for Preakness Valley Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County will publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at January 10, 2024, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids as recommended by the Director of the Department of Parks & Recreation Affairs for a certified golf teaching professional for Preakness Valley Golf Course in the Township of Wayne.
