RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-23-1175 ADOPTING A REVISED FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE PREAKNESS VALLEY GOLF, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:32-7.7, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:32-7.7 the Board operates and maintains over sixteen thousand (16,000) acres of preserved open space and recreational facilities as part of the Passaic County Park System, through the Department of Parks and Recreation (hereafter “Department”); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:32-7.12, the Board may by resolution, make, alter, amend, and repeal rules and regulations for the supervision, regulation, and control of all activities carried on, conducted, sponsored, arranged, or provided for in connection with the Passaic County Park System, and may prescribe and enforce fines and penalties for the violation of any such rule or regulation; and
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2019, the Board approved Resolution No. R-20191030 authorizing a revised fee schedule for the Preakness Valley Golf Course for the year 2020; and
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2022, the Board adopted Resolution No. R-2022-1159 amending Resolution No. R-20191030 to revise the fee schedule for the Preakness Valley Golf Course for the calendar year of 2023; and
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2023, the Board adopted Resolution No. R-23-1175 amending Resolution No. R-2022-1159 to revise the fee schedule for the Preakness Valley Golf Course for the calendar year of 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation is recommending an amendment to Resolution No. R-23-1175 to adopt a revised fee schedule for the Preakness Valley Golf Course for calendar year 2026, as indicated in the 2026 revised fee schedule which is attached and made part of this resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the November 25, 2025, Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:32-7.7 et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the amendment of Resolution No. R-23-1175 to revise the fee schedule for the Preakness Valley Golf Course for calendar year 2026 as indicated in the 2026 revised fee schedule, which is attached and made a part of this resolution.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that all the other terms and conditions as set forth in Resolution No. R-23-1175 remains in full force and effect.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Board of County Commissioners, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any other action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
