RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A COPIER RENTAL AND RELATED ACCESSORIES AND SERVICES FROM KYOCERA DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS, FOR THE OFFICE OF COUNTY COUNSEL, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, et seq, the County may, without advertising for bids, or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract(s) for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property; and
WHEREAS, Kyocera Document Solutions, has been awarded State Contract No. 25-COMG-110763 for M2075 Copiers and Managed Print Services - Statewide, by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property; and
WHEREAS, the Office of County Counsel received a quote from Kyocera Document Solutions, attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, for the rental of one (1) Kyocera Taskalfa MZ5001ci copier, including related accessories and services, for a four-year term from October 28, 2026 to October 27, 2030, and a total amount not to exceed eighteen thousand five hundred dollars ($18,500.00) during such term, in accordance with State Contract No. 25-COMG-110763, which is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-60.1, et seq., Kyocera Document Solutions executed the Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia or Belarus Certification, attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, certifying that it is not involved in prohibited activities in Russia and Belarus, and the County confirmed that Kyocera Document Solutions is not identified on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list created by the Office of Foreign Assets Control; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 6-01-20-104-001-237 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent County budget(s), which is attached hereto and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the September 30, 2026 Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the purchase of one (1) Kyocera Taskalfa MZ5001ci copier rental, including related accessories and services, for a four-year term from October 28, 2026 to October 27, 2030, and a total amount not to exceed eighteen thousand five hundred dollars ($18,500.00) during such term, in accordance with the attached quote and State Contract No. 25-COMG-110763.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Purchasing Agent, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
