RESOLUTION AMENDING PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION R-23-1189 TO CORRECT A TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR

WHERAS, the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioner of the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on February 28, 2023, the Board passed Resolution R-23-0195, which authorized the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office (hereinafter the “PCPO”) to apply for the FFY22 STOP Violence Against Woman Act Grant Program (Subaward Number VAWA-46-22) (hereinafter the “VAWA Grant”), which would make the PCPO eligible to receive funding of up to $46,140.00 to support the County Office of Victim Witness Advocacy Victim Services Project for the period of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, R-23-0195 also authorized an in-kind salary/fringe match for the VAWA grant in the amount of $15,380.00; and
WHEREAS, on March 28, 2023, the Board passed Resolution R-23-0318, which increased the in-kind salary/fringe match for VAWA-46-22 from $15,380.00 to $24,696.00 for total project amount of $70,836.00; and
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2023 the Board passed Resolution R-23-0318, which corrected a clerical error in the previous Resolutions, and reduced the Federal Award amount from $46,140.00 to $46,130.00, with the in-kind match of $24,696.00 but left the total project amount of $70,836.00 the same; and
WHEREAS, the PCPO now seeks to amend the total award amount, which should have been reflected as $70,826.00; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed by the Law and Public Safety committee and is now being recommended to the full board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioner of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office to received a Federal Award amount of $46,130.00 with an in-kind match of $24,696.00 for a total project amount of $70,826.00 for the VAWA-46-22 Grant to be used for the term of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office shall use the grant funds received for their purposes described in the application submitted for same.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Board of County Commissioners are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
