RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL AID AGREEMENT NO. 2025-DT-BLA1-01 BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF PASSAIC AND THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING PHASE OF THE MAIN AVENUE CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF PASSAIC, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer is seeking authorization to accept and execute the Federal Aid Agreement No. 2025-DT-BLA1-01, Contract ID 25 70062, LPA Identifier No. NYYJMEV218E5 (hereto attached and made part of this Resolution) between the County of Passaic and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (hereafter “NJDOT”) for the Preliminary Engineering Phase of the Main Avenue Corridor Improvement Project in the City of Passaic; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 12, 2025 meeting of the Public Works Committee and was recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the acceptance and execution of Federal Aid Agreement No. 2025-DT-BLA1-01, Contract ID 25 70062, LPA Identifier No. NYYJMEV218E5 between the County of Passaic and the NJDOT for Preliminary Engineering Phase of the Main Avenue Corridor Improvement Project in the City of Passaic.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Engineer, and Director of the Board of County Commissioners are authorized to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
