RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE TO SET THE FEES CHARGED FOR OFFICER AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES WITH RESPECT TO OFF-DUTY JOBS UNDER THE CONTRACT WITH VISUAL COMPUTER SOLUTIONS, INC., (RFP-24-001), PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:20-1, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office (hereinafter “PCPO”) desires to set the fees charged for officer and administrative services with respect to off-duty jobs; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereinafter “Board”) approved Resolution No. R-23-1273 on December 28, 2023, which awarded a contract to Visual Computer Solutions, Inc. under RFP-24-001 for an Off-Duty Detail Management System for the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office (hereinafter “RFP-24-001”) for the period from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026, with two (2) one year optional renewal years; and
WHEREAS, the Prosecutor now seeks to establish the fee schedule for officer pay in accordance with the rates contained in the attached Schedule A; and
WHEREAS, there is no cost to the County for the award of this contract for services; and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the Law and Public Safety Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic is authorizing the PCPO to establish the fee schedule for officer pay under the contract awarded to Visual Computer Solutions, Inc. under RFP-24-001 for an Off-Duty Detail Management System for the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office for the period from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026, with two (2) one year optional renewal years.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the fee schedule used by Visual Computer Solutions for work performed by Prosecutor’s Office under the terms of this contract shall be as set forth in Schedule A.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, the Clerk to the Board shall print, in the official newspaper, a brief notice stating the nature, duration, service, and amount of the contract to Visual Computer Solutions, and maintain a copy of the resolution on file and available for public inspection in the Office of the Clerk to the Board; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Prosecutor and Director of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
