RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING JOYCE O’HARA TO THE PASSAIC COUNTY SENIOR ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR A THREE (3) YEAR TERM, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Board created the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council to advise on ways to improve the quality of life for seniors in the County, and is responsible for making appointments to same; and
WHEREAS, on April 11, 2023, the Board passed Resolution No. R-23-0336, reappointing Joyce O’Hara of Clifton to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, commencing May 1, 2023 and expiring April 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Senior Services is recommending the reappointment of Joyce O’Hara of Clifton to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, beginning May 1, 2026 and terminating April 30, 2029; and
WHEREAS, this matter was considered by the Administration and Finance Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby reappoints Joyce O’Hara of Clifton to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, commencing May 1, 2026, and expiring April 30, 2029; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Director of Senior Services, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
