RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING MICHELLE VERNUCCIO TO THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM, PURSUANT TO THE WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT, 113 P.L. 128

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, 113 P.L. 128, the Board established the Passaic County Workforce Development Board to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year local plan, and other conditions as stated therein, to aid in workforce activities in Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2021, the Board adopted Resolution No. R20210272, authorizing the appointment of Michelle Vernuccio to the Workforce Development Board for a three-year term, effective November 17, 2020, and expiring on November 16, 2023;
WHEREAS, on February 13, 2024, the Board adopted Resolution No. R-24-102, authorizing the reappointment of Michelle Vernuccio to the Workforce Development Board for a three-year term, effective November 17, 2023, and expiring on November 16, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Workforce Development Board is recommending that Michelle Vernuccio be reappointed to the Workforce Development Board for a three-year term, effective November 17, 2026, and expiring on November 16, 2029; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the August 26, 2026, Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, 113 P.L. 128, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the reappointment of Michelle Vernuccio to the Workforce Development Board for a three-year term, effective November 17, 2026, and expiring on November 16, 2029.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Workforce Development Board, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
