RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A T300 WALK-BEHIND SCRUBBER GARAGE SWEEPER FROM TENNANT COMPANY, for the department of parks & recreation, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter "County") is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter "Board") is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey Cooperative Pricing System #65MCESCCPS, which awarded a contract for Maintenance Equipment, Bid #ESCNJ 22/23-15, to multiple vendors, including Tennant Company; and
WHEREAS, Tennant Company provided a quote to the Department of Parks and Recreation, attached to and made part of this resolution, for the purchase of a T300 Walk-Behind Scrubber garage sweeper, in the amount of thirteen thousand five hundred forty-seven dollars and ninety-five cents ($13,547.95), which is being recommended for approval by the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 6-01-44-900-003-000, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years' County budget(s); and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the April 29, 2025 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, that the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the purchase of a 300 Walk-Behind Scrubber garage sweeper from Tennant Company, in the amount of thirteen thousand five hundred forty-seven dollars and ninety-five cents ($13,547.95), as recommended by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
