RESOLUTION RATIFYING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF PASSAIC AND DISTRICT 15 OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINISTS AND AEROSPACE WORKERS, REPRESENTING CLERICAL EMPLOYEES IN THE PASSAIC COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 34:13A-1, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, District 15 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (“District 15”) is the designated bargaining unit for clerical employees in the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office; and
WHEREAS, the County and District are parties to a Collective Negotiations Agreement (“Agreement”) that expired on December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the County and District 15 negotiated various amendments to the Agreement, covering the five-year period from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030, in good faith and in compliance with N.J.S.A. 34:13A-1, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the County and District 15 executed a Memorandum of Agreement (“MOA”), attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, setting forth the terms and conditions to be amended in the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 34:13A-1, et seq., a majority of District 15’s membership ratified the MOA; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the April 29, 2026, Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:13A-1, et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic ratifies the attached Memorandum of Agreement between the County of Passaic and District 15 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, representing clerical employees in the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
