RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ROUTE 23 AUTOMALL, LLC FOR REPAIR SERVICES FOR ROAD DEPARTMENT VEHICLES, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-12, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:11-12, et seq., the County may, without advertising for bids, or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract or contracts for such goods or services entered into on behalf of the State of New Jersey by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, Route 23 Automall, LLC, submitted competitive pricing for T0126 - OEM & Non-OEM Maintenance & Repair Services for Light/Medium Duty Vehicles, Master Blanket Purchase Order 40812, to the State of New Jersey, Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is recommending an award of contract to Route 23 Automall, LLC to perform repairs on various County vehicles, in an amount not to exceed twenty-nine thousand two hundred eighty-nine dollars and seventy-eight cents ($29,289.78); and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 5-01-26-151-001-222 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the January 28, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes an award of contract to Route 23 Automall, LLC to perform repairs on various County vehicles, in an amount not to exceed twenty-eight thousand two hundred eighty-nine dollars and seventy-eight cents ($28,289.78) as recommended by the Supervisor of Roads.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent, Clerk of the Board, and County Counsel are hereby authorized and directed to take such further actions and sign such documents as are necessary to effectuate the purpose of this Resolution, including but not limited to the issuance of the appropriate Purchase Order.
