RESOLUTION AMENDING R 23-0774 TO INCLUDE THE AWARD AMOUNT FROM THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY BODY ARMOR REPLACEMENT FUND PROGRAM, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHERAS, the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioner of the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on August 8, 2023, by Resolution R 23-0774 the Board approved the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office (hereinafter “PCPO”) to apply for funds through the State Fiscal Year 2023 State of New Jersey Body Armor Replacement Fund Grant Program to assist with the purchase of bullet proof vests for its investigators; and
WHEREAS, the PCPO now seeks to amend R 23-0774 to include the total award amount received of five thousand two hundred and thirty-five dollars and twelve cents ($5,235.12); and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the Law and Public Safety and is being recommended to the Board of for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic hereby authorizes an amendment to Resolution R 23-0774 which authorized the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office to apply for funds through the State Fiscal Year 2023 State of New Jersey Body Armor Replacement Fund Grant Program to assist with the purchase of bullet proof vests for its investigators to include the total award amount received of five thousand two hundred and thirty-five dollars and twelve cents ($5,235.12); and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office shall use the funds received for the purposes set forth in its application for the receipt of said grant funds and as set forth in this resolution.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, Passaic County Prosecutor, and Director of the Board of County Commissioners are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
